These terms govern your use of the Smile Club Dental website and our secure patient portal. By using either, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please contact the clinic to arrange your care another way.
What do these terms cover?
These terms cover this website and the patient portal we use for online booking, appointment management and insurance estimates. They set out how the site may be used, what our content is (and is not), your responsibilities in the portal, and which law applies. They do not replace any consent you give in person at the clinic.
How does online booking work?
You can book a visit online through our patient portal, and returning patients can sign in to view their appointment, reschedule or cancel it. If your plans change, please update or cancel your appointment through the portal — or contact the clinic — with as much notice as you can, so the time can be offered to another patient.
Is the content on this website medical advice?
No. The content on this website is general information about our clinic and dental care. It is not medical or dental advice and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment by a licensed dentist. For advice about your own oral health, book an appointment; for a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
What are my responsibilities when using the patient portal?
Keep your sign-in access to yourself, and give us accurate, current contact and insurance information — estimates and appointment reminders depend on it. Use the portal only for your own care (or a dependant you are authorized to act for), and tell the clinic promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

Are portal insurance estimates a guaranteed price?
No. An estimate prepared from your insurance details is our good-faith projection of your coverage and out-of-pocket cost before treatment. Final amounts depend on the treatment actually provided and on what your insurer confirms and pays. We’ll walk you through the numbers before you commit to a treatment plan.
Who owns the content on this site?
The text, graphics and branding on this website belong to Smile Club Dental or are used with permission. You may view and share links to the site for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not copy, scrape or reuse its content or branding without our written permission, or use the site in any unlawful way.
What law governs these terms?
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. Any dispute relating to this website or these terms will be resolved in the courts of Ontario. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
